Beedie recognized in list of Canada’s top ten MBA programs
Oct 31, 2013
MBA programs at the Beedie School of Business have been recognized in a new ranking of the top ten MBA programs across Canada.
The Canadian Business MBA rankings focus on programs that provide students with value for money. They identify programs providing good classroom experiences that do not remove participants from the workforce for an extended period, while also producing an increase in salary in comparison to tuition.
The Beedie School of Business was recognized for its full-time MBA program and the new part-time Surrey MBA program, which launches in January 2014. The list also noted the Beedie School of Business Management of Technology MBA, which is designed specifically for technology professionals.
Speaking to Canadian Business, MBA Academic Chair David Hannah commented that the Beedie School of Business has not traditionally participated in major global rankings. “It does take quite a lot of resources to play the rankings game,” Hannah says, noting that the school would prefer to allocate resources towards improving the classroom experience for students.
The list relied on a mixture of data to compile the top ten programs, including reputation, salary boost, classroom experience, tuition fees, required work experience, and program length in order to provide aspiring students with the information needed to decide which MBA program is best suited to their needs.
