Landmark gift a boon to SFU Beedie School of Business
The October issue of Report on Business Magazine, published by the Globe and Mail, features a 2-page feature on several exciting developments at SFU’s Beedie School of Business, including Ryan and Keith Beedie’s $22 million gift to the school, the newly established Americas MBA for Executives in partnership with universities from Brazil, Mexico and the US, as well as a newly-established $5 million investment fund for undergraduate students.
Entitled “Landmark gift a boon to SFU Beedie School of Business,” the story includes an interview with school Dean Daniel Shapiro, as well as Assistant Prof. Rikha Krishnan, alumnus Howie Wu and students Lauren Looi (Master of Financial Risk Management) and Kathleen Williams (MBA). As well, it includes profiles on emerging companies and initiatives from the business school, such as Layerboom Systems and a project to integrate corporate social responsibility and sustainability with the Singapore hotel industry.
