May 09, 2017
Enoch Weng, who will graduate with a BBA this summer, has been featured in a Vancouver Sun article about students who are the first members of their families to attain a university degree. In the article, Weng talks about his experiences and the personal challenges he has faced.
Weng overcame those challenges and has gone on to achieve an extraordinary amount during his time as a Beedie undergraduate. At this year’s BASS Banquet, he was presented with the Student Impact Award, which is given annually to a student who continues to inspire the Beedie community through their dedication in academics, school involvement, and humanitarian work.
The award was recognition for his tireless dedication to the Beedie and SFU communities over the past five years, during which time he has served as President of the Simon Fraser Student Society (SFSS), President of the SFU Recital Society, VP Finance for AIESEC SFU, and Student Senator for SFU Senate. He is also a four time BASS FROSH leader and mentor in the Mentorship Program, as well as having participated in numerous other student clubs and organizations.
