Beedie undergrad Stephanie Wong first recipient of HSBC Women in Business Leadership Award

Stephanie Wong, an undergraduate student in the Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University, has been selected as SFU’s first recipient of the HSBC Women in Business Leadership Award. Wong was selected for the honour based on her outstanding academic achievement and record of student leadership. Beedie students to represent Canada in global KPMG Ace the Case competition

Two undergraduate students from the Beedie School of Business have won the opportunity to represent Canada at the prestigious KPMG International Case Competition (KICC). MetroLyrics.com, the most comprehensive database of music lyrics in the world with longstanding roots at SFU, along with its company assets, have been integrated into CBS Interactive Music Group. The site is the flagship property of MetroLeap Media Inc., a start-up co-founded by SFU Beedie School of Business undergraduate student Milun Tesovic and EMBA graduate Alan Juristovski, both active participants in SFU Venture Connection, which provides support to student entrepreneurs at the university.

Beedie team takes home hardware at business ethics competition

A team of students from the Beedie School of Business is enjoying the afterglow of a successful journey to Bellevue, Washington to participate in one of North America's highest-profile business ethics competitions. The students — Fahad Yasin, Christine Prasad, Sasha Vukovic, Moira van den Akker, and Andrew McKinlay — competed in the LMU/ECOA Intercollegiate Business Ethics Case Competition (IBECC), held in Bellevue, Washington from September 21-22. The team competed against a prestigious international field that included the likes of Oxford, USC, INSEAD, Holy Cross and Boston College.
