Tech e@SFU start-up wins third place in global sustainability competition

The SFU student founders of technology start-up Novion have won third place in the global Enzen Hackathon after competing against more than 650 companies. The three-phase hackathon sought solutions for tackling worldwide energy, water and environmental challenges. SFU Beedie students victorious at Oxford competition

A multidisciplinary team of SFU business and environment undergrads extinguished their global competition to take first place in the finals of the global Map the System competition held at Oxford University on June 9. SFU Beedie delivers record-breaking performance at top case competition

A team of SFU Beedie students competing in this year’s JDC West, Western Canada’s largest and most prestigious business competition, turned in the school’s best-ever performance, winning first place in six of the 13 categories. In January 2019, Simon Fraser University will host JDC West, the biggest and most prestigious business competition in Western Canada. Beedie Strikes Gold at JDC West

A team of undergraduates at the Beedie School of Business produced a series of outstanding performances at this year’s JDC West case competition, winning three gold medals and securing podium finishes in three further categories. The team won first place in the Human Resources, Not-for-Profit, and Skit categories; second place in Taxation; and third place in both the Entrepreneurship and Intro Video competitions.
