Vector Marketing’s Campus Cup winner SFU receives $1000
Jul 01, 2011
Vector Marketing, a direct sales firm that markets Cutco Cutlery®, presented SFU with the Campus Cup, as part of their commitment to recognize and foster the relationships Vector has established with many great universities and colleges, at their first summer conference on May 30, 2011, in Coquitlam, BC.
115 representatives from across the province gathered at this event to learn and be recognized for their achievements. In total, $10,500 is awarded annually from the Campus Cup to various post secondary institutions in the name of Vector’s student sales representatives.
Schools are recognized in three main categories, three times a year:
- Overall Total Sales, presented to the school whose students sell the most Cutco Cutlery.
- An additional award presented to the school with the highest productivity (whose students on average sell the most).
- An award is also given to the school that has the most new students start with Vector. This past spring, that honour went to Simon Fraser University.
At this year’s conference, representatives from both the main SFU Career Services and Beedie School of Business Career Management Centre were present to accept the award and share the $1,000 prize.
Vector Marketing works primarily with students, offering them the opportunity to not only earn an income throughout the school year, but also teaching them Skills for Life, recognizing that students of every discipline need to develop skills in leadership, communication, time management, negotiation, presentation and networking.
