The Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University has announced the appointment of Yuen Pau Woo as Senior Resident Fellow for the Jack Austin Centre for Asia Pacific Business Studies.

Woo has over 25 years experience in strategy and policy for business, government and not-for-profit organizations. He recently completed his third and final term as President and CEO of the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada, and is continuing his association with the organization in the role of Distinguished East Asia Fellow.

“Pau is an exceptional advocate for and contributor to Canada Asia relations,” said Sudheer Gupta, Director of the Jack Austin Centre for Asia Pacific Business Studies. “He has already contributed immensely to the Centre’s research, and we look forward to continuing to make use of the wealth of knowledge on Asia Pacific affairs that he possesses.”

Woo has served on the Standing Committee of the Pacific Economic Cooperation Council, and as an advisor/consultant to the World Bank, APEC, the OECD, Asian Development Bank, the Shanghai WTO Affairs Consultation Centre, and the Canadian Ditchley Foundation.

“I am honoured to be part of the Jack Austin Centre,” said Woo. “I ‎look forward to working with Sudheer and my other colleagues to strengthen the Beedie School’s credentials as a leading source of expertise on business and management issues in the Asia Pacific region.”
