PhD Candidate to Speak at BBM Annual Meeting

Jan 16, 2009

José Domingo Mora, a SFU Business PhD candidate whose research and thesis examines media audiences and how social interactions affect group consumption, has received a $4,000 BBM Canada scholarship from the Canadian Association of Broadcasters. The award acknowledges a student whose interests lie in the measurement of electronic media and consumer related behaviours and “who may be of future benefit to the Canadian broadcast industry”.

In addition to the scholarship, Mora has been invited to be a keynote speaker at the 2009 Staying Tuned BBM Annual Meeting (along with Pamela Wallin and a few others) on February 3 in Toronto where he will discuss “Audience aggregation: The quest for a new dimension of TV ratings”.
