What is cultural intelligence?  What defines a culturally intelligent person?  What is the relationship to creativity and to innovative organizations?  Dr. Thomas proposes that the nature of multicultural experience has effects far beyond what we may have thought in the past. In this presentation, he will explore some key concepts of cultural intelligence and outline their relationship to creativity. He will then discuss the value of such concepts in expanding creativity and innovation in today’s global organizations.

David C. Thomas (PhD, University of South Carolina) is Professor of International Management at Simon Fraser University, Vancouver, BC, where he currently serves as Director of the PhD Program in Business Administration. Dr. Thomas is the author of eight books including Cultural Intelligence: People Skills for Global Business and he is currently the Associate Editor of the International Journal of Cross-Cultural Management.
