SFU BEEDIE TAKES HOME BIG WINS AT TOP CASE COMPETITIONS

SFU Beedie’s undergraduate team took top honours once again at JDC West 2023, the most prestigious case competition in Western Canada – the third time in the past five years. Congrats to our team of outstanding students and alumni coaches! On top of JDC West triumph, our MBA students celebrated a big win after taking home first place in this year’s BC MBA Games in the fall of 2022.

Talent management in a dynamic world: lessons learned from the pandemic 

Join us on March 7 for an exclusive fireside chat with Helena Gottschling (BBA ’85) as she discusses her leadership in talent management through the pandemic and her insights on how the pandemic has shaped the future of work. As the former Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) of RBC, Helena was responsible for the global strategic function of human resources for more than 86,000 employees in 29 countries.

 

CASE COMPETITIONS BUILD SKILLS AND CAREERS IN MORE WAYS THAN ONE

The case competition spotlight is often on the competitors. But what about the students who put their efforts into running the behind-the-scenes of case competitions? Alumnus Tiffany Fong (BBA '17) shares how her experience with case competition logistics helped her build a career path in managing NASA projects. Our past CaseIT chairs also share their experiences.

 

RYAN BEEDIE HAS BEEN NAMED THE 2023 CANADIAN BUSINESS LEADER OF THE YEAR BY THE CANADIAN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

Heartfelt congratulations to Ryan Beedie (BBA' 91) for being named the 2023 Canadian Business Leader of the Year by the Canadian Chamber of Commerce. This award celebrates and recognizes Ryan’s stellar corporate leadership and extensive contributions to his community.
