SFU Beedie appoints Alexia McKinnon to lead Indigenous business programs

Simon Fraser University’s Beedie School of Business has appointed Alexia McKinnon as its new Director, Indigenous Business Programs. An alumnus of SFU Beedie’s Executive MBA in Indigenous Business Leadership (EMBA IBL) program, and a citizen of the Champagne and Aishihik First Nation, McKinnon has a wealth of experience of Indigenous education and governance. Simon Fraser University’s Beedie School of Business has tapped a veteran dean, international researcher and award-winning teacher as its next leader, effective Jan 1. Ali Dastmalchian says the opportunity to lead a school with Western Canada’s largest business undergraduate program, a fast-growing menu of graduate programs and a focus on entrepreneurship and sustainability proved irresistible.
