Enactus SFU teams demonstrate innovation and impact at Canada Western Regional Exposition

Enactus SFU teams showcased their impact at the Enactus Canada Western Regional Exposition, a competition where teams present the results of applied community impact projects and business ventures to a judging panel. SFU Beedie professor June Francis selected to chair B.C.’s new anti-racism data committee

June Francis, professor of marketing at SFU’s Beedie School of Business, has been selected to lead B.C.’s new anti-racism data committee, signalling another major stride in her efforts to advocate for anti-racism in British Columbia and make the province a more inclusive place. SFU Beedie professor June Francis at heart of city’s redevelopment plan for Hogan’s Alley

A new city project hopes to reclaim some of the hope that was lost when city planning in the early 70s led to the displacement and erasure of Hogan’s Alley, Vancouver’s historic Black neighbourhood. Hogan’s Alley Society, an initiative co-chaired by SFU Beedie professor June Francis, is working with the City of Vancouver, PHS Community Services Society and B.C. Housing to help bring a temporary housing project with culturally relevant programming to a once vibrant neighbourhood in Vancouver.
