Seminar Series: "How to Be a 'Good' Chinese CEO: Corporate Leadership with Chinese Characteristics"
Free
On November 29, 2011, Dr. Colin Hawes will discuss the changing nature of being a Chinese CEO. In contrast to the Communist period when capitalism was attacked and business owners were persecuted, in today's China, CEOs are regarded with admiration. However, they are still subject to political and societal pressure.
Several case studies will be discussed during the seminar, with a focus on Niu Gensheng, Chair and former CEO of the Mengniu Dairy Group.
Time: 12:30 – 2:00pm; November 29, 2011
Location: Room 4600, Segal Graduate Centre, 500 Granville Street.
