On February 11, 2011, the Centre sponsored a special event titled “Will the Emergence of China Change Management Theory and Practice?” Approximately 70 academics, students, policy leaders and members of local business community attended the event that featured Drs. Alan Rugman and Rosalie Tung. Dr. Rugman is a recipient of the 2010 SFU Outstanding Alumni Award, and is one of the founding scholars and leading authorities in the field of international business. His research has deeply influenced the growth of the field and its policy implications, and his theories have become integral to international business textbooks studied by students worldwide.
