Why did you decide to pursue an MBA and what drew you to the SFU Beedie School of Business?
I decided to pursue an MBA because I wanted to switch to a career in business consulting, enhance my leadership skills, and leverage the extensive MBA network. I chose SFU because it has a short but intensive one-year course, with abundant co-curricular activities. It is a renowned public university in Canada and is located in Vancouver, one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
What has been your favourite moment or experience at Beedie so far? What are you looking forward to?
The “back to school” feeling with an amazing cohort has been the highlight for me. Each day is a learning moment thanks to the diverse cohort members, great professors, and the Beedie staff. Beedie provides a safe environment to voice your opinions and participation is highly encouraged. I am looking forward to the elevated MBA experience via the International Applied Project in Portugal and the Leadership Retreat in Squamish next year.
How would you describe SFU Beedie’s culture?
SFU Beedie’s culture is diverse and people-oriented. It feels like one big community where teamwork is valued, and unique individual qualities are welcomed. I am honored to be a part of SFU Beedie.
