Why did you decide to pursue a Master of Science in Finance and what drew you to the SFU Beedie School of Business?
I made the decision to pursue an MSc in Finance due to my strong interest in developing a deep understanding of the technical aspects of finance, along with a solid theoretical foundation essential for the finance industry. What particularly drew me to SFU Beedie was its exceptional reputation for offering one of the most technically rigorous finance programs. SFU Beedie's program stands out for its unique combination of theoretical knowledge and practical experience. I was particularly attracted to the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in financial markets through the prestigious SIAS fund, which I believe will provide me with invaluable insights and skills to excel in the finance field.
What has been your favourite moment or experience at Beedie so far? What are you looking forward to?
My most cherished experience at Beedie has been the opportunity to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including fellow students, professors, faculty, and staff. This immersive experience has significantly enhanced my learning journey, enabling me to cultivate a global perspective that is not only empathetic but also deeply engaging. Looking ahead, I am excited about the prospect of participating in the various workshops and events organized by SFU throughout the course, which I believe will further enrich my educational experience and personal growth.
