Volunteer for Case Competitions

Case competitions would not be possible without the support of student and external volunteers.

Student volunteers are current SFU or SFU Beedie students who would like an opportunity to learn and apply skills. Our case competition volunteers help the events run smoothly and provide our competitors and judges with great experience. Roles range from moderator, timekeeper, operations/schedule, etc. These experiences give co-curricular record hours.

External volunteers are often alumni of the Beedie School of Business, graduate students, or industry professionals who support with judging, and in special cases with coaching, facilitation and case writing.

The following events recruit student and external volunteers every year:

  • Case Challenge (fall and spring term)
  • Case Competition Training Program (spring)
  • PEAK (summer)
  • PEAK (summer)
  • ELITE (summer)
  • JDC West (summer and fall)
  • Advanced Case Training Program (fall)

If you are a current student or external volunteer wanting to volunteer in a case competition events, please connect with casecomp@sfu.ca and we will add you to our mailing lists.

Volunteer opportunities for students are also promoted in our newsletter and posted in the Student Engagement Portal.

Volunteer opportunities for externals are often promoted on the Alumni Newsletter, Beedie Advantage, and LinkedIn.
