“The sense of camaraderie, the opportunity to work with inspiring individuals, and the chance to contribute to meaningful projects have made my journey at SFU Beedie truly fulfilling.”
MY JOURNEY
I've always been passionate about design and its power to communicate. That's what drew me to pursue a degree in Business Administration. I saw it as a way to blend my creative interests with practical business skills.
Choosing marketing as my concentration was a no-brainer! It's the perfect avenue to harness my design passion and apply it strategically. With marketing, I can leverage visuals to create compelling messaging that resonate with people on a deeper level. It's the ideal fusion of creativity and strategy that keeps me excited about my academic journey.
MY SFU BEEDIE EXPERIENCE
The experience of being involved in SFU Beedie’s student club atmosphere has been instrumental in shaping my academic and personal growth.
The Business Administration Student Society (BASS) provided a supportive and nurturing environment where I could not only advance my academic journey but also develop essential leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
Moreover, working within my executive team at BASS has been nothing short of inspiring. The dedication and passion that radiated from each member of the team has motivated me to push my boundaries and strive for excellence in everything we do.
Having the unique opportunity to represent BASS on behalf of SFU Beedie at business school conferences such as Canadian Association of Business Students (CABS) Roundtable and the National Business School Conference has truly been such a fulfilling part of my undergraduate experiences. The energy within a room of Canada’s brightest student leaders is inspiring, motivating, and addicting. Engaging with these peers has expanded my network and refined my understanding of the business landscape across Canada. Every conference is a reminder of the potential impact we as young leaders can have.
BUS 217W (Critical Thinking in Business) and BUS 360W (Business Communications) have been instrumental in equipping me with practical skills and knowledge that I can readily apply in the real world. From crafting persuasive messages to delivering impactful presentations, the communication strategies learned in these courses have been directly applicable in various professional settings.
