THE MBA THAT BALANCES LIFE & LEARNING

Scholarships & Financial Support

The SFU Beedie MBA is an investment in your future, and we want to help you finance your degree to achieve your dreams and goals. We are proud to provide a variety of avenues for students to access the funding they need to complete their program successfully. Whether you are an international or domestic student, internal and external scholarships and funding options are available to you.

All Students

Scholarships

At the Segal Graduate School, we pride ourselves on our ability to provide, on average, 51% of our cohorts with a scholarship to finance their degree. Students who obtain scholarships typically have 25% to 75% of their tuition costs covered. Through our funding options, we assist in eliminating barriers for brilliant students from all socio-economic backgrounds to access higher education.

Our scholarships are awarded as part of the admissions application process. We assess our candidates based on their work experience, academic prowess, community engagement, and alignment with our SFU Beedie values (diversity, action, research, and engagement with purpose).

All applications are considered for scholarships

When you submit your program application, we will also review it to determine scholarship eligibility and award amounts—no separate application is needed.

Bursaries

Bursaries are a supplemental funding source for students with demonstrated financial need; they should not be treated as your primary funding source. Bursaries are available to qualifying Canadian and international students. You should be aware that you may not be awarded a bursary every term. Please note that due to the high volume of applications received each term, payment of funds may not occur until the middle of the application term; therefore, we encourage you to plan accordingly.

We provide a brief overview of the benefits and necessities for employer support; reach out to us if you would like assistance in putting together a case for sponsorship.

SFU Beedie does not guarantee, co-sign, or endorse any of these specific funding programs.
