Meet our facilitators:

Milla Zaenker (MBA ’19) Milla is a distinguished educator, executive coach, and human resources leader with over 15 years of experience across public and private sectors. She teaches HR and leadership courses at Capilano University School of Business, where her blend of practical insights and academic rigour earned her the 2024 Teaching Excellence Award.

Milla also runs a private executive coaching practice, helping leaders enhance their skills and achieve their goals. Her holistic, empathetic approach empowers clients to see the big picture and create harmony in their lives. With credentials like a Master of Business Administration, a Certificate in Conflict Resolution, and a Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation, Milla is a recognized leader who is passionate about unlocking human potential.

Gurwinder Singh (MBA ’09) brings over 25 years of experience and enthusiasm to his role as Director of the Career Management Centre at Beedie School of Business. As a certified coach in the “Designing Your Life” framework, Gurwinder excels in helping MBA students and executives unlock and realize their full potential.

His diverse career includes significant achievements in engineering and project management, where he led innovative initiatives at one of North America’s largest forest companies. Gurwinder has also developed impactful career development programs at the Indian School of Business (ISB) and ran his own private consultancy. He has provided consulting to small and mid-sized firms and coached entrepreneurs, assisting them in scaling and succeeding.

Driven by a passion for education and social entrepreneurship, Gurwinder co-founded a non-profit organization that annually provides education to over 250 underprivileged children in India. His commitment to empowering individuals is reflected in his mentoring efforts and his work with NGOs to foster leadership and entrepreneurial skills.
