Why did you decide to pursue an MBA and what drew you to the SFU Beedie School of Business?
The main purpose of my MBA is to achieve breakthroughs in my career by further enhancing my abilities in all aspects, like having a global vision and improving my leadership skills. SFU Beedie’s MBA program is famous for its intensive course schedule and high quality. I believe intensive learning is the most appropriate challenge for me and the best way to prepare for future management. Additionally, the location of SFU is perfect, allowing students to enjoy the city of Vancouver’s beauty while studying.
What has been your favourite moment or experience at Beedie so far? What are you looking forward to?
The most memorable so far is the scene when our group discussed the interim report of business analytics. I remember all members in our team were proactively sharing their work results, however we had different answers. We had a heated discussion but finally we couldn’t convince each other. Although the final result proved that I was wrong, I still enjoyed the learning process very much. The most amazing thing is the kind of spark generated from the collision of ideas among us.
How would you describe SFU Beedie’s culture?
The most impressive thing about the SFU Beedie’s culture is diversity. In our full-time MBA class, we have students from all over the world. No exaggeration to say that it nearly covers almost all continents in the world. I guess this is probably the first time in my life that I have seen classmates from so many countries.
