Admission from Secondary (High) School
This application is specifically for prospective applicants completing their secondary school studies in the upcoming year, or who have previously graduated from a secondary school and have not completed more than 24 credits of transferable academic work at another post-secondary institution.
Students with more than 24 credits of transferable post-secondary coursework, should complete the requirements for College/University Transfer into the Beedie School of Business. Alternatively, students may wish to apply for and receive admission to another SFU faculty and then complete the Internal Transfer requirements for the Beedie School of Business.

1. MEET THE SFU GENERAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS AND THE BEEDIE SCHOOL OF BUSINESS REQUIREMENTS
A) SFU General Admission Requirements
SFU has three admission requirements, all of which must be fulfilled in order to gain admission to the university. These are:
- Academic requirements based on previous schooling
- English language and literacy requirements
- Quantitative and analytical skills requirement
B) Beedie School of Business Admission Requirements
Admission to the Beedie School of Business is based on a combination of:
- Academic performance (minimum 83% average based on specific secondary school courses, or a minimum 28 IB points including specific courses), AND
- Supplemental Application
Students will be competitively selected for admission based on these requirements.
2. BEGIN YOUR APPLICATION AT EducationPlannerBC
Step 1: Create your EducationPlannerBC account online at: apply.educationplannerbc.ca
Step 2: Enter your academic and biographical information.
Step 3: Choose the Beedie School of Business as your 1st Choice! Only students who list the Beedie School of Business as their first choice will be evaluated for admission*.
Tip: Make sure to indicate a 2nd Choice program other than the Beedie School of Business.
Step 4: Once your application is complete, you will receive your permanent, 9-digit SFU applicant/student number (i.e. 301- - - - - -).

*Note your application is not complete until you have also submitted the Supplemental Application unless you are a Fall applicant who is applying through the Major Entrance Scholarship process. Refer to Step 3 below for details on this alternative process.
3. COMPLETE YOUR APPLICATION BY SUBMITTING YOUR SUPPLEMENTAL APPLICATION TO THE BEEDIE SCHOOL OF BUSINESS AT https://beedie.sfu.ca/tracs/apply
Admission to the Beedie School of Business is based on a combination of your academic performance and an assessment of your Supplemental Application*.
STEP 1: Start by reviewing what makes up the online, Supplemental Application and tips on how to prepare:
STEP 2: Start accessing the Supplemental Application 24-hours after you receive your SFU, 9-digit applicant/student number (see Step 2 above, Begin Your SFU Application at EducationPlannerBC, for details on how obtain your number). You will also need the email address you used to apply to SFU.
STEP 3: Complete the Supplemental Application and pay the fee (Spring 2018 Admission - $78.03 CAD | Summer 2018 & Fall 2018 Admission - $ 79.59 CAD) via the online application system.
*NOTE: Beedie School of Business Fall applicants are not required to submit the Supplemental Application if they have a complete and eligible Major Entrance Scholarship application (including all transcripts, references and any additional documents required for admission). Please refer to SFU Financial Aid and Awards for details on the application process and requirements.
4. HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR MARKS AND DOCUMENTS
All documents (Supplemental Application, grades, proof of citizenship, English language admission requirement (ex. IELTS/TOEFL), outline of activities, etc) must be submitted to SFU Admissions by the deadlines noted above. For a detailed list of the required items, refer to your "To-Do" list in your Student Services Centre.
Grade information is used in combination with your Supplemental Application to make an admission decision. Without this information, a decision cannot be made.

5. NEXT STEPS
Be sure to follow the instructions on the Next Steps website and log-in to your Student Services Centre to check your application status in order to follow up on any "To-Do” List items by the deadlines noted in Step 4. This will ensure your application is complete and able to be evaluated.
